Users, clients, and projects
Invite users, manage clients (Team+), and organize projects.
Organization administrators manage people, clients, and projects from the Manage section in the app. What you can do depends on your plan and role.
Users
Manage → Users lists everyone in your organization. Administrators can invite users, assign roles, and manage licenses.
Invite users
- Go to Manage → Users → Invite.
- Paste email addresses (comma, semicolon, or newline separated).
- Validate, save, and send invitation emails.
- Assign a license when inviting or afterward on the user card.
Roles
- User — Track own time; view own reports.
- Manager — View team entries, run manager reports, create clients/projects via MCP (Team+).
- Administrator — Full org management including users and settings.
Assigning the Manager role requires the Team plan or higher.
Clients (Team+)
Client management is available on Team and Pro, not on Basic. Go to Manage → Clients to create, edit, or delete clients (key and name). Projects can be linked to a client for billing rollups.
On Basic, upgrade to Team to use clients — see Picking a tier.
Projects (all plans)
Manage → Projects lets you create and edit projects, filter by client, run bulk actions, and mark projects active or inactive. You can also create projects from the home page timer area while logging time.
On Team+, projects can be associated with a client for reporting and invoicing.
Teams
If your organization uses teams, Manage → Teams lets you group users for filtering time entries and reports.
Via MCP
Managers on Team+ can create and edit clients and projects through MCP tools (create_client, edit_client, create_project, edit_project). User invites and license management are not available via MCP. See MCP documentation.
